‘Dress-Up Dagoy Dolls’ Dinagyang 2010 contest
The lovable Dagoy doll, the lucky charm of Iloilo Dinagyang Festival, will be donning attractive clothes showcasing the Ilonggo creativity during the Dressing-Up Dagoy Dolls Competition at SM City Events Centre on January 17, 2010 at 10am to 3pm.
Mechanics:
- The contest is open to all individuals and each designer is allowed to submit a maximum of two entries only. An entry form shall be required for each design. The entry forms maybe secured and submitted to the City Tourism Office at Freedom Grandstand..
- No registration fee or participation fee shall be collected from the participant. The Dagoy doll shall be supplied for free.
- The costume may be made from any material and must include a headdress, shield and weapon.
- Participants shall provide and bring their respective material, accessories, devices and implements needed for the dress-up of Dagoy Doll in public view during the demonstration contest at SM City.
- All entries shall be made available for public display at Tourist Lounge beside Forever Flawless at the mall’s lower ground floor with the judging on January 18, 2010 at 3pm.
- All entries shall become properties of Iloilo Dinagyang Foundation Inc. (IDFI).
The Prize: Winners will take home P3,000 for the first prize, P 2,000 – second prize, P1,000 – third prize, and P500 each for 10 consolation prizes.
Deadline for submission of entries: January 15, 2010 at 5pm.
Criteria for Judging:
design – 25 percent
creativity and uniqueness – 25 percent
craftsmanship – 30 percent
use of indigenous material – 10 percent
visual impact – 10 percent.
