2010 MBC National Choral Competition
The Manila Broadcasting Company (MBC) has been conducting a choral competition as part of its Paskong Pinoy festivities since 2007. They featured a Children’s Choir Competition showcasing school groups from Metro Manila and in 2008, the contest expanded to include an Open Category for groups with members above the age of 14. In 2009, they began drawing participants from various parts of the country in what has been premised as a nationwide choral contest
The 2nd MBC National Choral Competition gets underway with auditions for the Open category being conducted in key cities of Luzon, and high-profile regional competitions being hosted by Hot FM Cebu, Love Radio Iloilo, and Easy Rock Cagayan de Oro to determine the choirs that will compete in the contest proper on December 6-10 at the Star Theater in Pasay City.
