Globe Tattoo: ONE YOUTH Soul Xpression The Street Art Competition

Calling students and amateur art aficionados as Globe Tattoo presents “ONE YOUTH Soul Xpression The Street Art Competition”. Here is your chance to showcase your artful designs and get featured (your artworks) in Globe’s Sim and Call Cards. Not only that, you also have a chance to win up to P30, 000 worth of cash prize. See the detailed mechanics below for details.
Mechanics:
1. There will be 2 categories for the contest:
• Student category – Open to High School and College students.
• Open category – Open to ages 15-30 years old.
• Open category – Open to ages 15-30 years old.
2. Participants may enter individually or as a group. All participants should be Globe subscribers.
3. For the Student category:
• The wall or mural art must be implemented with the following specifications:
• Artwork should be at least 5 ft x 7 ft in size. Orientation may be landscape or portrait and may be scaled up but should maintain the length-to-width proportion.
• Location: Artwork should be installed within the school premises of the participating school and should be visible to foot traffic. Students should get approval from the School administration for the location.

4. For the Open category:
• Artwork may be a mural, graffiti, installation or any form of street art.
• There are no size restrictions to the artwork.
• Location: Artwork should be done in publicly visible areas with the consent of the site owner. The artwork should not violate any law in its development and display.

5. All entries should have a Globe Tattoo logo visible in the artwork.

6. To submit the entry, participant/s should take a picture of the artwork and upload the image to Globe Tattoo’s website, http://tattoo.globe.com.ph/soul-xpression.
7. Deadline for submission of entries is on June 30, 2010.
Selection of Winners
8. Finalists will be chosen through public voting. Voting will be done online. To vote:

9. Voting will be open until July 5, 2010
10. For the Student Category:
• Ten finalists (1 per area) will be chosen based on the number of votes cast. (Areas are: North GMA, South GMA, North Luzon, Central Luzon, Southern Tagalog, Bicol Region, Western Visayas, Central and Eastern Visayas, North Mindanao, South Mindanao)
• From the 5 finalists, three (3) winners will be chosen by Globe based on the following criteria:

50% – Creativity
25% – Globe branding
25% – Visibility of mural location

11. For the Open Category:
• Ten finalists will be chosen based on number of votes cast.
• From the 10 finalists, three (3) winners will be chosen by Globe based on the following criteria:

12. Announcement of winners will be on July 12, 2010. Winners will be posted in the official website and will be notified through phone call, email and/or registered mail.
13. Final Judging will be done by Team Manila
Prizes:
14. For the Student Category
• The Finalists and their schools will receive 5,000 cash each.
• The 3 winners and their schools will receive an additional P25,000 cash each.
• The 3 winners and their schools will receive an additional P25,000 cash each.
15. For the Open Category
• The Finalists will receive P5,000.00 cash each.
• The 3 winners will receive an additional P25,000 cash each.
• The 3 winners will receive an additional P25,000 cash each.
16. The winning artworks will be used in Globe’s products. (Sim and Call Cards)
