I am an Explorer! Summer Blog Contest

Explore something different, tackle something new, and just blog about it you might be chosen to win a Netbook with  I am an Explorer! Summer Blog Contest. See detailed mechanics below for more details.

Mechanics:

1. Be a fan of the windows7ako Facebook Page, open to all bloggers in the Philippines.

2. Take on any challenge, project or activity of your choice this summer. The more unusual or unexpected the challenge, the better.

Here are some examples that may inspire you, but you’re free to do whatever you want:
- Running your first 5K – blog about your training and actual race day experience
- Taking voice classes – blog about your attempts to become glee-worthy
- Conquering a cookbook – blog about cooking all the recipes from your mom’s cookbook
- Wooing your crush – blog about your efforts on “catching” the girl or guy of your dreams
- Going on a trip – blog about your out-of-town summer escapade

3. Blog about your experience throughout the entire challenge period and publish this in the World Wide Web. Share your thoughts, emotions, success stories, mishaps, blunders and whatever else you think will make your blog interesting. Your blog must:
- Have a minimum of 500 words per entry
- Always sign off or end with the line: “I am an Explorer and I use IE8!”
- Have the link to the Windows7ako Facebook Page

4. Email the link of your blog entry to iamanexplorer@live.com.
- Subject title: IE8 SUMMER BLOG CONTEST
- The administrator has the right to refuse the posting of entries.
- Should your blog meet all the entry criterias, the administrator will post your link at the windows7ako Facebook Page

5. Once your link has been posted, you are then responsible for promoting your own blog.

6. Maintain your blog. Keep on posting, keep it updated. Promote your blog and succeeding entries in the Windows 7 Facebook Page

7. Blog period starts on May 1, 2010 and ends on June 1, 2010.

8. At the end of the blogging period, 3 blogs will be selected based on the following criteria:
- Explorer Spirit (how adventurous your selected activity is) – 40%
- Creativity (how interesting your blog is) – 40%
- Popularity (i.e. number of likes or readers your blog gets) – 20%

9. Winners will be announced on June 5, 2010. Winners will get a NETBOOK with Windows 7!
