The REAL Gaming Tournament, Win 100,000 worth of GC from PC Express
Gamers out there, here is your chance to show off your skills to rub elbows with the best gamers in the country and win up to P100, 000 worth of Gift Certificate from PC Express as they present the The REAL Gaming Tournament. Refer to the mechanics below.
Eligibility to join:
1. Customers who purchase the Xtreme Gaming Series PC from PC Express nationwide will be eligible to participate in the gaming tournament. Each Xtreme Gaming Desktop comes with a gaming pass that will allow the customer to participate in “The REAL Gaming Tournament.” That will be held on April 17 and 18 of 2010, 10am at the Laser Extreme Arena located at the 4th floor of Market Market beside the PC Express Outlet.
- Xtreme Gaming Desktop “P” – Core 2 Quad based PC
- Xtreme Gaming Desktop “C” – Core i5 based PC
- Xtreme Gaming Desktop “X” – Core i7 based PC
Note: where P, C, and X stands for the model of the desktop
2. Customers will be given the gaming pass outright upon purchase and must fill up the provided registration form (with their name, address, telephone no.) and submit to any PC Express outlets game representative.
3. PC Express will then upload the list of eligible gamers can at http://forums.pcx.com.ph where in they have to register an account and look for the Real Gaming Tournament thread and interact with other participants to organize a team.
4. Sixty-four (64) teams of three (3) members each will be formed to participate in the gaming tournament.
5. Customers who purchase the package from February 3 to March 30, 2010 are eligible to join.
6. PC Express will shoulder 20% tax for prizes exceeding Php 10,000
Tournament Mechanics:
1. Sixty-four (64) teams of three (3) members each will be formed to participate in the gaming tournament.
2. Registered players will be informed thru cell phone one (1) week ahead of tournament date. Should the informed player be not present during the thirty (30) minutes call time before his / her team’s scheduled match, the team will be disqualified from participating in the tourney.
3. Each team will participate in a knockout match where only the top team with the highest score will advance to the final round. In each match there will be a total of eight (8) teams comprised of three (3) members each (total of twenty-four (24) players per match) who will compete in a FRAGFEST format. Shooting of team members (friendly-fire) is not allowed; players will be penalized if they commit such an act during the game.
4. Top teams of each match will win a Core i7 jacket and other premium items. (caps, notebooks, pen, etc)
5. Eight teams will advance to the final round where they will compete for the grand prize. The team with the highest score on the final round will win the Grand Prize of One Hundred Thousand Pesos (Php 100,000) worth of PC Express Gift Certificates.(1 year validity to any PC Express Stores)
6. In case a tie will occur, a Deathmatch (shoot as many players in the game as possible while keeping yourself from being shot at) between or among the teams who have the same scores will be made. Winner of the deathmatch will be awarded as the champions.
